Auburndale, FL (January 14, 2020) – Around 9:36 p.m. on January 12th, a fatal crash took place at the intersection of FL-600 and Berkley Road in Auburndale.
According to police, the accident occurred when a passenger vehicle and pickup truck collided with one another. Multiple people were injured due to the collision including three adults and one child, who was flown to the Tampa General Hospital. One person in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police found through their investigation that a Nissan Altima with five passengers was struck by a 2006 pickup truck.
The injured victims include a 31-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man. The party who lost their life was identified as a 38-year-old woman from Lakeland.
The investigation into the accident continues.
