Bartow, FL (February 13, 2020) – Around 11:15 a.m. this morning, a fatal plane crash took place near Weston Road in Bartow that took two lives.
The single-engine plane crashed along the roadway in a small neighborhood. The plane was quickly identified as a Mooney M20J.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, where they found that two victims inside the plane were deceased. No homes were hit and it is not believed that any other parties were injured.
The NTSB and FAA continue to investigate the accident at this time.
