Bartow, FL (May 3, 2021) – An accident in the Bartow area resulted in two hospitalizations on Monday morning, May 3.
The incident occurred on FL-60 at around 6:30 a.m. that morning. The site of the crash was located on railroad tracks near the entrance of the Mosaic phosphate fertilizer plant. Emergency responders were called to the scene to provide aid to the injured parties.
Two people involved in the collision were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, the severity of the related injuries has not been confirmed. The westbound lanes of the roadway were closed while emergency response units removed vehicles from the scene.
An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
