Bradenton, FL – Woman Seriously Injured in Golf Cart Accident

Bradenton, FL (December 31, 2019) – The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that an 80-year-old woman was seriously injured in a golf cart accident involving a vehicle.

The woman was in a golf cart and collecting her mail out of a mailbox at the time when a man driving a Volkswagen Jetta collided with the side of the golf cart at an unspecified area. The Jetta then drove off the side of the road and ran into a palm tree.

The woman was immediately taken to Blake Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the Jetta immediately fled the scene on foot. Police have not yet been able to catch up with the suspect.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
