Gandy, FL (January 16, 2020) – Around 8:30 a.m. this morning, January 16, Tampa Police were called to the scene of a car accident on the Howard Frankland Bridge in Gandy.
According to police, multiple vehicles were involved in the collision and were blocking all lanes of the bridge for a period of time. It took police several hours to clear the roadway.
Paramedics and various other emergency responders were called to the scene of the collision to assist those with injuries. The extent of those injuries is not yet known.
Police continue to investigate the collision at this time.
