Lake Placid, FL – Motorcyclist Struck & Killed on County Rd 621

Lake Placid, FL (January 6, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident on County Road 621 claimed one man’s life on Monday.

During the morning hours of January 5, a male motorcyclist was traveling along County Road 621 when his vehicle struck a hog in the roadway. The man was thrown off his motorcycle, causing him to land in the road.

While the victim was lying in the roadway following the crash, he was struck by a vehicle who then fled the scene. This is now considered hit-and-run incident.

The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

At this time, police are investigating.
