Lakeland, FL (July 6, 2020) – Around 7:30 p.m. on Friday night, July 3, a fatal pedestrian crash took place at a Lakeland intersection.
The Lakeland Police Department confirmed that a 76-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Harden Boulevard and Town Center Drive.
A 27-year-old woman was driving her Ford F-350 headed southbound on Harden while approaching the Town Center intersection. The pedestrian was in a crosswalk and attempted to run but the pickup truck was unable to stop in time.
The driver of the Ford stopped at the scene of the accident so that they could cooperate with the police.
The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
No further details have been provided but the investigation continues.
