Largo, FL (August 11, 2020) – Around 1 p.m. this afternoon, police responded to the scene of a car crash with injuries in Largo.
The accident, according to Largo authorities, took place in the eastbound lanes of Ulmerton Road around the area of Starkey Road. Photographs taken at the scene showed that an SUV rear-ended another SUV, leading to extensive damage in both vehicles.
Fire crews and paramedics were present at the scene of the accident. Fire crews allegedly extricated two or more people from their vehicles, who were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. One witness confirmed that two of the victims were women traveling in the same vehicle.
Due to the severity of the accident, delays continued in both directions for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
