Palm Harbor, FL – Injuries Reported in Car Accident on Nebraska Ave

Palm Harbor, FL (March 2, 2020) – On Saturday night, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of a car accident on Palm Harbor that involved two vehicles.

The accident took place on Nebraska Avenue when an on-duty police officer in a Chevrolet Tahoe was driving westbound on the roadway.

At the same time, a 39-year-old woman driving her Toyota Highlander in the westbound lane and was stopped at a red light on Belcher Road.

The deputy allegedly failed to stop for traffic and ran into the rear-end of the other vehicle. The deputy, the Toyota driver, and her two passengers were treated for injuries.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
