Pasco Co, FL (April 7, 2021) – An accident involving an alleged drunk driver on Tuesday, April 6, left one dead and two others injured in Pasco County.
Local reports revealed that the deadly crash occurred at the corner of US-19 and Briar Oaks Drive at around 2:30 a.m. that morning. Troopers revealed that 32-year-old Ryan Allen was traveling southbound on the highway in a pickup truck at the time of the collision. Allen was reportedly speeding when he crashed into a vehicle ahead of him.
Both vehicles overturned due to the impact. The driver of the other car, a 60-year-old Brooksville man, was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A 63-year-old female passenger in his car was hospitalized in serious condition.
Allen was also seriously injured and taken into custody for charges of driving under the influence and manslaughter.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is underway.
