Pinellas Park, FL (November 16, 2020) – On November 12 around 4:15 p.m., a pedestrian accident took place on a roadway in Pinellas Park. Police have since identified the pedestrian.
According to the Pinellas Park Police Department, the accident occurred at 7561 49th Street next to Marko’s Meat and Deli. Police confirmed that a 60-year-old adult was struck by a police cruiser being operated by a local deputy.
Police were allegedly responding to a disturbance call when the crash occurred. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to a trauma center with a variety of serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
