Plant City, FL (February 24, 2020) – On Saturday morning, a fatal head-on collision took place on US-92 in Plant City that led to the deaths of multiple teenagers.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers confirmed that the collision took place around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday on US-92 near the area of Turkey Creek Road.
Police confirmed that the 17-year-old driver of an Escape was driving west when his vehicle was struck head-on by a Peterbilt truck driven by a 61-year-old man headed in the opposite direction.
Police confirmed that there were two teenage passengers in the Escape. Two teens died at the scene and one was airlifted to a local area hospital.
However, police have confirmed that all three teenagers involved in the accident have since died.
An investigation into the collision continues.
