St. Petersburg, FL (December 3, 2020) – Around 6:21 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in St. Petersburg.
According to Pinellas County officials, the accident took place at the intersection of 12th Street and 13th Avenue when two vehicles collided at the intersection. The exact circumstances leading up to the accident are not yet known but it is believed that the vehicles involved sustained heavy damage.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
