St. Petersburg, FL (December 11, 2019) – Last night around 9:30 p.m., police responded to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle accident at a St. Petersburg intersection.
The accident, according to authorities, took place at the intersection of 54th Avenue and 28th Street. Police have not yet confirmed what caused the two vehicles to collide in the intersection.
One of the drivers was identified as a 71-year-old woman, who died at the scene of the crash. Her name has not yet been released.
The other driver, who has not been identified, was immediately taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with a variety of serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
