St. Petersburg, FL (September 15, 2020) – Around 8:30 a.m. this morning, Pinellas County officials were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in St. Petersburg.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene of the accident in the southbound lanes of I-275 around the area of Ulmerton Road. When officials arrived at the scene, they found that two or more vehicles had collided with one another, causing a variety of damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision. They blocked the road and assisted those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not entirely known. One or more victims were hospitalized.
Three left lanes of traffic were blocked for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
