Tampa, FL (December 27, 2019) – On December 25th, a woman lost her life following a fatal accident that involved two vehicles on FL-60 in Tampa.
The crash took place around 9:59 p.m. on FL-60 in Hillsborough County. Troopers claim that a 76-year-old woman lost control of her Dodge and crossed the median on the roadway, entering the wrong lane of traffic. Her vehicle then collided with the driver’s side of a Scion being driven by a 31-year-old woman.
Police confirmed that the 31-year-old woman died at the scene of the accident. The 76-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are still working to determine the circumstances leading up to the accident and have stated that charges are pending.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
