Tampa, FL (December 26, 2019) – On Christmas night, December 25, police responded to the scene of a head-on collision that led to a fatality in Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the collision around 10 p.m. Troopers found that a 31-year-old woman from Tampa was headed east in her Toyota Yaris when she suddenly lost control of her vehicle, which traveled over the median on the road and collided with a Dodge Journey.
The driver of the Dodge was identified as a 76-year-old woman. The driver of the Yaris died at the scene of the accident while the other driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition is not known.
No charges are pending at this time but the FHP continues to investigate the accident.
