Tampa, FL – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on E Hillsborough Ave

Tampa, FL (July 6, 2020) – Around 4:15 a.m. yesterday morning, July 5, a woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Tampa.

Florida Highway Patrol said that a 53-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on East Hillsborough Avenue near the area of Carmack Road.

A 79-year-old man was headed west in his pickup truck while the woman was headed westbound on East Hillsborough. The pedestrian was struck by the pickup truck.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead as a result of her traumatic injuries.

Police continue their investigation into the collision.
