Thonotosassa, FL (December 2, 2019) – Around 4 a.m. this morning, police and other responders were called to the scene of a car accident on US-301 in Thonotosassa.
The accident, according to police, took place on US-301 near the area of McIntosh Road. Multiple vehicles collided on the highway for reasons that are still under investigation.
According to authorities, multiple tow trucks were called to the scene to clear vehicles from the area that were badly damaged due to the accident. The accident completely closed all lanes of traffic in the area for a short amount of time while emergency responders helped at the scene. Police urged many to avoid the area this morning.
Paramedics assisted multiple victims with their injuries but their conditions have not been confirmed.
The investigation of the accident continues at this time.
