Bradenton, FL (January 21, 2020) – On Sunday, January 19th, police responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian accident at a Bradenton intersection that took the life of one victim.

According to police, the collision happened at the intersection of 15th Street and 57th Avenue in Bradenton. The crash happened at 3:45 a.m. when a 51-year-old pedestrian was crossing the intersection.

The pedestrian was struck by a blue four-door Honda sedan. The driver fled the scene without stopping.

Police confirmed that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the hit-and-run collision at this time.
