St. Petersburg, FL (February 11, 2020) – On Saturday morning, two teens were allegedly killed in a fatal accident on I-275 in the area of 22nd Avenue North.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that an 18-year-old woman was driving drunk when she crossed into the path of another vehicle while trying to change lanes.
The woman’s vehicle spun across the interstate and onto a shoulder where it collided with two trees. The other vehicle came to a stop on the road.
There were two teens, identified as a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, who were taken to Bayfront Hospital. They both died at the hospital.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
