St. Petersburg, FL (September 15, 2020) – At an unspecified time on September 12, a fatal pedestrian crash took place at an intersection in St. Petersburg.
St. Petersburg officials confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of 34th Street and Burlington Avenue. Though the exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known, it is believed that a pedestrian started to cross the road at the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Though the identity of the victim has not been revealed, police confirmed that an adult male was struck by the vehicle. He was severely injured and died at the scene of the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extensive amount of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
