Dover, FL (November 17, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, a man was killed in a fatal rollover accident in Dover.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on FL-547 around the area of Dover Road. The 20-year-old driver of an SUV was headed east on the highway when another vehicle suddenly started to pull into a business. The 49-year-old woman in the other vehicle steered to avoid the collision but was unable to do so, causing the vehicles to collide.
The SUV that the 20-year-old was driving immediately overturned. He was seriously injured as a result of the accident and was transported to a local hospital. He tragically succumbed to his injuries while there.
Various parties, including both drivers and passengers involved in the accident, were hospitalized due to injuries stemming from the crash. They are all expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
