Jacksonville, FL (November 29, 2019) – Yesterday, Pinellas County authorities reported that a jet ski rider was seriously injured in a boat collision on the Intracoastal Waterway.
The accident happened at 12:26 p.m. close to the area of the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge. A 26-year-old man was riding his 2015 Sea-Doo personal watercraft at the time headed east when it collided with another boat for reasons that are still under investigation.
The driver of the boat and another individual from a second boat stopped at the scene and called 911. He was taken to Bayfront Health-St. Petersburg with serious injuries but is expected to survive.
The investigation continues at this time.
