Plant City, FL (April 27, 2020) – Around 3:34 a.m. on Friday morning, April 24, a 27-year-old man caused a fatal hit-and-run accident on Trapnell Road in Plant City.

The 27-year-old driver failed to maintain his lane, which is when his vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a pedestrian. The driver continued on without stopping at the scene of the accident.

Police received a call and found the pedestrian deceased at the scene of the accident. They were also able to locate the driver responsible for the collision who was arrested on numerous charges.

Plant City Police and the Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the collision at this time.
