Tampa, FL – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Nebraska Ave

Tampa, FL (December 3, 2019) – On Sunday, December 1, a fatal pedestrian accident took place on Nebraska Avenue in Tampa after a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident, where they found that a pedestrian was struck around 2:17 a.m. south of 120th Avenue.

The 40-year-old woman from Tampa was crossing the street when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The car hit her and immediately fled the scene of the accident.

Troopers have not yet apprehended the suspect. They are still looking for a 2003-2009 Chevrolet Blazer and speaking with anybody who might have witnessed the crash.

The woman died at the Advent Health Hospital where she was taken following the accident.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
